Cori's Rough Draft- C4C Boulder Dining Hall

Traveling down to Boulder, heading towards my destination, CU Boulder University. A few of my friends go to school there, and it seemed like a great day to go and visit them. So, Saturday afternoon I joined my friends for lunch at their local dining hall called the C4C Dining Hall.
The dining hall had so much food to offer. There was food from every culture. Indian, Italian, Mexican, American, Chinese, etc. I was very pleased by the amount of food and even the fanciness that the building held. My first thought when I walked into the dining hall was, "Oh my gosh! They have all of this for a bunch of party starving students? If I made a dining hall for a college, I would've just got some pizza and give it to them- they don't deserve all of this!" And maybe, that was my jealousy seeping through.
However, I was happy to know that I was going to try all these new things and see what I like and what I don't like. So, I chose to get American food. I get a hot dog and pasta salad. When we found a seat and when I took my first bite, I could not believe what I just put in my mouth! It tasted disgusting. And plus it didn't help when my friend told me that the cooks put laxatives in the food.
I made my first bite the last bite. I looked at my friends and asked them, "how could you guys live off of this?" They looked at me as if I was crazy. Was I the only one who felt the rubber feeling in my hot dog or tasted the water-down root beer? I chose to just ignore the fact that my friends were eating trash and moved on to another subject, how much I miss my friends!
