Its seven in the morning and we are just about to depart. Since we won't be gone for more than a day it isn't a necessity that we pack close to anything maybe some snacks here and there for the way there some for the way back. Other than that just some entertainment maybe a PSP or some dvds to watch on the way. Its only about 6 hours to get there so theoretically we should get there 3ish which would even give us a chance to shop around before we eat.
Our destination is Albuquerque New Mexico. More description would be our destination is a Mexican restaurant named La Placita. It is located in Old town and it is rumored to actually be haunted. I believe that it is beacuse me my brother and my mom have all had experiences there. For years this place has actually been a family gathering place. Its a bonding environment. If you haven't caught on already me and my family pick a weekend a couple times a year and we drive 6 hours to new Mexico to eat at La Placita and 6 hours back. We don't stay the night there. We enjoy just short road trip.
The food there is like the greatest food you have ever tasted. Its like you could sit there all day and eat that food and just that. It has spices and flavors that you can taste no where else. I can honestly say that it changes me life every time i go there. It is actually one of the best memories that i have to hold onto to with me and my family. I look forward to it and I am actually the one who puts the most effort into setting up a date for us doing it again.
