I Love (Olive) Garden
It was a cold, rainy and a dreary Saturday afternoon. My two sisters and I made plans to go to Spider Mansion, a haunted house at Heritage Square; sadly the weather seemed to have canceled our plan. As we looked outside the window, the rain poured down and the clouds covered the once blue sky. As we sat around the house thinking of what to do on this Saturday night, my mom broke the silence and suggested that us three girls should go out to eat.

Immediately my sisters and I got wide eyed and the first restaurant that came to mind was, Olive Garden. We smiled at each other and ran out the door and got into my sister’s car and drove off. On our way, we started talking about what we were going to eat. The thing that I was most excited about was their warm garlic sprinkled breadsticks and their delicious crunchy salad.
When we arrived and walked through the restaurant’s door, there was a crowd of people surrounding the host, asking her how long the wait would be or if they could see the menu. My sisters and I looked at each other and made our way through the crowd of people and asked the host if there was a table available for three. Fortunately, she said that the wait would be about ten to fifteen minutes, which is not that long of a wait unlike the other people, who were waiting for like forty minutes.
While waiting for our food to come out, we began to talk about the annoying baby that was at a table across the room. The baby kept crying and crying which only made us three girls irritated. Time passed, and we continued to talk smack about an innocent baby, then our food came and our attitudes dramatically changed. The smell of the garlic-butter noodles and cheesy, fluffy mashed potatoes took over our senses. When the waitress put my plate in front of me, I couldn’t help but get super excited. I began to eat my meal (Parmesan Crusted Tilapia) as if it was going to disappear any second. I savored every bite that I took.
Once my sisters and I finished our meals, we began to look at the dessert menu… Yummy! There were so many choices to choose from, but so little room in our tummies. Unfortunately, it was decided to skip out on desert tonight, considering that if we put more food in our mouths, there was a high risk of explosion. Though we didn’t have a sweet dessert to top off our scrumptious meal, it was still a tremendous dinner.
